if you are my age, you grew up with bruce springsteen's huge album of born in the usa, but before that he was kicking it with timeless music that still resonates today. today's share is 'born to run' from a concert in barcelona spain and you can bet that most of the folks in the crowd were not around to see bruce sing the same song in 1975.
in other randomness connected with bruce, i remember probably being the only person who owned a clarence clemons album hero which my dad bought me cause i played the sax in middle school.
if you want to check out some young talent. gene evaro, who is a local kid who just graduated from hendersonville high school is someone who reminds me of a young springsteen. he writes great music, seriously talented, and exhibits some of the same passion when performing.

the ’75 concert reminds me of when Springsteen came to the Opry House in ’76. I was working in the concessions stand and had never heard of the guy. I liked what I heard.
